STEEL FIBERS

Steel fiber reinforced concrete is a composite material composed of hydraulic cement, fine or coarse aggregates, and steel fibers. These steel fibers, typically with rectangular cross-sections, are uniformly and randomly dispersed throughout the mix. Their presence significantly improves the concrete’s structural integrity by enhancing its resistance to tensile cracking, providing increased strength and durability. The inclusion of steel fibers allows the concrete to better withstand stresses, offering superior performance in demanding applications.

Steel fibers are filaments of wire deformed and cut to lengths for reinforcement of concrete it is a cold drawn wire fiber with hooked ends.
